Safety Rules

We visited with my parents last weekend (hence the amazing trampoline hair pic.) My dad says he's improving every day (moved up from -50 to -47 during our stay) and even drove himself to grab a hot dog today.

On the way home the hubs wanted to show us a snow tubing spot and we got a bit turned around - even the GPS wasn't helping. So I told Caitlyn no movie because Mommy and Daddy were a little bit lost (and honestly I wanted her to sleep). She said "Oh no! What friend can help us?!?!" My response, "Do you know someone who can help us?" She wisely responded "Another mommy!" I felt great about my parenting skills as I have been trying to teach her to yell our name if separated rather than just yelling "Mommy! Daddy!" and also to ask another mommy for help. (Mommies are almost always good guys.) My bubble was slightly burst today when she said if she was lost she would hide behind the tire wheels so the monsters wouldn't get her . At dinner she told me that she couldn't be friends with an old pal anymore because said friend received a time out. At least she has a desire to stay away from the wrong crowd, right?
